Colm & Greg,
We got the first shipment of equipment today. It was the hand-held Garmin GPSs. Everyone really appreciates it. Trust me when I tell that everyone feels great knowing that there are people at home who really do care. Sometimes Soldiers don’t know if people at home give a shit anymore.But when they get such nice equipment from total strangers, it really picks them up. I can’t thank you enough. My Commander is going to send you a thank you letter. Please distribute it to everyone who donated money.
Just to let you know, I used the GPS out on a patrol this morning. Its awesome.It tracks so much better then the ones issued through the army. I can even plot routes!
